Most Instagrammable places in Dubai

Dubai is a city that never fails to impress with its breathtaking beauty and photogenic charm. From iconic skyscrapers to vibrant beachside murals, the city is a playground for anyone looking to capture stunning photos. In this post, I’m sharing the top 6 most Instagrammable places in Dubai that will take your photography game to the next level.

Burj Khalifa

Let’s start with the world’s tallest building—the Burj Khalifa. This icon, which was originally called Burj Dubai before its grand inauguration in 2010, towers at a jaw-dropping 828 meters with 163 floors, dominating the city skyline like no other. It’s not just a building—it’s an experience.

You can actually head inside and ride the world’s fastest double-deck elevators (yes, you’ll feel your ears pop!) to the At The Top observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors. If you want to take it up a notch—literally—book a ticket to the 148th floor lounge, which sits 555 meters above the city. From up there, Dubai looks like a futuristic toy city, especially if you go at sunset when the desert sky softens into shades of orange and pink.

For the best exterior shots, head over in the evening when the city lights up, and the Dubai Fountain Show starts its dazzling performance right at the tower’s base. Trust me, there’s nothing quite like capturing a photo of Burj Khalifa glowing against the night sky with the fountains dancing in the foreground. Afterward, take a leisurely stroll around Burj Lake—the reflections here are equally magical, and it’s a spot many visitors miss.

Inside, Burj Khalifa also houses Armani Hotel Dubai, high-end restaurants like At.mosphere on the 122nd floor (a favorite for sunset cocktails), and luxury residences. Even if you’re not staying or dining here, just walking into the lobby feels like stepping into a different world.

💡 Travel Tip: Tickets are much cheaper if you book online in advance. Go for early morning or just before sunset to avoid crowds, and if you’re visiting in peak season, skip-the-line passes are worth every dirham.

Dubai Fountain

Speaking of fountains, the Dubai Fountain is another iconic location that should be on your list. This fountain isn’t just any water show—it’s the world’s largest choreographed fountain system, with water jets shooting up to 150 meters high! The lights, the colors, and the perfectly timed music make for an unforgettable experience. Grab a spot near the Mall and be ready when the show begins—there’s no better way to capture the magic of Dubai.

Two shows take place in the afternoon (at 1.00 pm and 1.30 pm), except on Fridays (when their program is from 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm). The evening shows start at sunset and repeat every 30 minutes until 23.00.

La Mer Dubai

La Mer is where urban art meets the beach, and honestly, it’s one of those places that makes you forget you’re in the middle of a bustling city. Nestled between Pearl Jumeirah and the upcoming Jumeirah Bay, this beachfront district is all about vibrant murals, quirky cafés, and a laid-back vibe that screams vacation mode. It’s the kind of spot where you can sip a latte with your toes in the sand, then wander into a colorful alley for that perfect Instagram shot.

The area had been closed for redevelopment for a while, but it’s now reopening with a fresh new look and energy. So if you’ve visited Dubai before, expect an even more exciting version of La Mer waiting for you.

Whether you’re lounging by the beach, exploring the street art that splashes across nearly every corner, or indulging in fresh seafood at one of the seaside restaurants, La Mer is a visual feast. The murals along the promenade aren’t just decoration—they feel like an open-air gallery, making every stroll an adventure.

And let’s not forget the Laguna Waterpark—a favorite for families, thrill-seekers, and anyone who wants to cool off Dubai-style. With its lazy river, wave pool, and adrenaline-packed rides, it’s a fun twist to balance out the chill beach vibes.

💡 Travel Tip: Visit in the late afternoon so you can enjoy both the sun-soaked beachside atmosphere and the golden-hour glow over the Arabian Gulf. Once the lights come on, the murals and beach shacks look even more magical.

Dubai Marina

If there’s one place in Dubai that mixes city life with seaside charm, it’s Dubai Marina. This area is famous for its luxury yachts, modern skyscrapers, and lively waterfront promenade. It’s also home to the Dubai Marina Yacht Club, a must-see for anyone who loves sailing.

You can come here for a relaxed walk along the Marina Walk, which stretches for 7 kilometers, or you can go all out and book a yacht cruise with a crew to take care of everything. Imagine watching the sunset on the water, with the city skyline glowing in the background—it’s an experience you won’t forget.

Dubai Marina is also full of great places to eat. From casual cafés with outdoor seating to fine dining restaurants, there’s something for everyone. In the evening, the buildings light up and reflect on the water, turning the whole place into a picture-perfect scene.

If you’re in the mood for more adventure, you can join a dhow cruise, take a speedboat tour to Palm Jumeirah, or even try kayaking for a slower pace. And if shopping is on your list, Dubai Marina Mall is just around the corner.

💡 Travel Tip: Come just before sunset for the best views and photos. For a great shot, walk onto one of the small bridges—you’ll see the whole Marina stretching out in front of you.

Madinat Jumeirah

Madinat Jumeirah

The largest 5-star resort in the United Arab Emirates. The resort includes a Souk, which means a traditional Arab market. It’s like a maze of alleys with all kinds of shops scattered around it. It also has a private beach, which unfortunately is only accessible to those staying in the hotel.

What I loved most were the restaurants set along the canals, offering stunning views of the Burj Al Arab. Having dinner here feels magical, especially when the lights reflect on the water. If you’re planning to eat here, I recommend booking a table right by the water—the view alone is worth it.
