Most Instagrammable places in Dubai
Dubai is a city that never fails to impress with its breathtaking beauty and photogenic charm. From iconic skyscrapers to vibrant beachside murals, the city is a playground for anyone looking to capture stunning photos. In this post, I’m sharing the top 6 most Instagrammable places in Dubai that will take your photography game to the next level.
Burj Khalifa
Let’s start with the world’s tallest building—Burj Khalifa. The building that used to be named Burj Dubai before its inauguration. Standing at a staggering 828 meters with 163 floors, this architectural marvel is a must-visit. For the best shots, head over in the evening when the city lights up, and the Dubai Fountains start their mesmerizing show. Trust me, there’s nothing quite like snapping a photo of Burj Khalifa with the colorful fountain display in the foreground. Afterward, take a leisurely stroll by the fountains for even more epic shots.
Dubai Fountain
Speaking of fountains, the Dubai Fountain is another iconic location that should be on your list. This fountain isn’t just any water show—it’s the world’s largest choreographed fountain system, with water jets shooting up to 150 meters high! The lights, the colors, and the perfectly timed music make for an unforgettable experience. Grab a spot near the Mall and be ready when the show begins—there’s no better way to capture the magic of Dubai.
Two shows take place in the afternoon (at 1.00 pm and 1.30 pm), except on Fridays (when their program is from 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm). The evening shows start at sunset and repeat every 30 minutes until 23.00.
La Mer
La Mer is where urban art meets the beach. Located between Pearl Jumeirah and the future Jumeirah Bay, this trendy beachfront district is brimming with vibrant murals, quirky cafes, and a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for your Instagram feed. Whether you’re lounging by the beach, exploring the colorful alleys, or enjoying a bite at one of the seaside restaurants, La Mer is a visual feast. Each corner offers something unique—don’t forget to snap a shot of the stunning murals that line the promenade. Also, this place hosts the Waterpark Lagoon.
IMG World of Adventure
The largest indoor theme park in the world, IMG Worlds of Adventure, offers visitors over 1.5 million square meters – or 28 stadiums – of unparalleled fun, through state-of-the-art attractions that bring characters to life. Marvel and Cartoon Network in five themed areas. Younger visitors can enjoy multi-sensory adventures with Ben 10, Gumball, The Powerpuff Girls, and LazyTown, while older visitors can become superheroes for a day alongside Spider-Man, The Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor and see full-size dinosaurs in The Lost Valley – an adventure zone dedicated to dinosaurs.
Dubai Marina
An area famous and especially known for those who are passionate about yachting, Dubai Marina is an area renowned for its promenade beside the skyscrapers that make up the urban landscape and for the beauty of the yachts, Dubai Marina being the home of the renowned Dubai Marina Yacht Club.
Whether you arrive in this area for a (slightly longer) walk on the promenade, or you have decided to throw in the window (actually overboard) the last year’s savings and choose a cruise with one of the yachts, having at having a dedicated crew and hostess, do not miss Dubai Marina.
Madinat Jumeirah
The largest 5-star resort in the United Arab Emirates. The resort includes a Souk, which means a traditional Arab market. It’s like a maze of alleys with all kinds of shops scattered around it. It also has a private beach, which unfortunately is only accessible to those staying in the hotel.
What I liked the most here were the restaurants set on the edge of the canal and the view towards Burj al-Arab. This is a great place for dinner. If you decide to have dinner here, then you should book a table by the water, with a view like this.
